Actually, we stayed in San Agathe, a small town high above Sorrento in order to treat ourselves to a night at the luxurious Don Alfonso 8-room hotel and eat dinner at its Michelin 1-star restaurant. The hotel was as good as it gets. The restaurant was not, although it had some merit.
We strolled around Sorrento and had lunch there. it is a pleasant resort town sitting high above stone cliffs above the sea. On the following day we left from its port for a 20 minute hydrofoil voyage to the island of Capri, a truly paradisic place which will be blogged separately.
