Our return flight was from Copenhagen
to Newark. We made the most of the last
two days. On Day One we left Tropea
with a taxi ride to Lamezia where we
caught a fast four-hour train to Rome.
We stayed overnight at the very nice
Hotel Barocco on Piazza Barberini.
That afternoon and the next morning
we walked all around Rome,
the main shopping streets and the sights.
We made two major purchases, a small
hairbrush and a package of dried porcini.
The streets were packed with tourists.
We managed to see a good number of
the famous sights.

On Day Two we flew to Copenhagen, checked
into an airport hotel,
showered and took the metro
to a celebratory dinner at AOC restaurant
(celebrating our survival of a very strenuous
and ultimately very satisfying trip.)
